Eterna Plc recently celebrated a major achievement with the launch of its into-plane Jet-A1 fuel operations at Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) in Lagos. This milestone follows the successful commissioning of the Joint User Hydrant Installation 2 (JUHI-2), which has an impressive storage capacity of 15 million liters of Jet A1 fuel.

In a recent statement, the Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Abiola Lawal, expressed his enthusiasm for the new jet fuel operations and reiterated the company’s commitment to providing exceptional service. Lawal stated, “Eterna Plc is thrilled to announce two remarkable milestones in our journey within the aviation fueling sector. With the successful commissioning of JUHI-2, we have now received full regulatory approval to begin our into-plane operations. This approval demonstrates our dedication to maintaining the highest industry standards, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable fueling services for airlines.”

Boyede Oyegbami, the Aviation Commercial Manager at Eterna Plc, also shared his excitement, saying, “Eterna Aviation is officially open for business and is ready to support our airline partners with a safety and quality-focused approach to service delivery. The JUHI-2 facility, which was recently commissioned by the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), stands as the largest airside jet fuel depot in Nigeria. With a capacity to deliver a minimum of 150 million liters of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) monthly, the facility represents 20% of the nation’s annual sales volume in just one month.
